COOKING LESSON IN TUSCANY WITH LUNCH
AND WINE TASTING

The concept is the same as the Cooking Lesson with Lunch with an additional aspect being a full Wine Tasting to accompany the dishes that you prepare.

Wine Tasting

We take you to a typical Tuscan house in the middle of the countryside. Here we work together to realise a selection of five courses, all typical Tuscan recipes. We have developed a number of menus and aim to give you as much choice as possible in this respect. Please click here to see the menu choices available this year:

We’re happy to take on special requests so feel free to ask if you have a particular recipe in mind.

At the end of the lesson itself we all move out of the kitchen onto the veranda for an aperitif accompanied by the first of your wines, a crisp white. This will be followed by a selection of red wines that because of their particular characteristics have been chosen to compliment the dishes with which they are matched. All the wines have been selected from the best vineyards in the region.

We aim to introduce you to the Rosso di Montalcino, Super Tuscan and Brunello, all typical wines from this area.

Whilst sipping your wines and savouring the various flavours of the dishes that you have yourself have prepared you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside.

We finish with a local dessert wine, the Vin Santo or maybe a digestif of Grappa. Either will round off the lunch in a very satisfactory manner.

We send you home with an illustrated booklet of recipes.

The price is fully inclusive:

trip-advisorAmazing Experience in Tuscan cuisine

We had a very memorable day of cooking and eating Classic Tuscan dishes. Leslie, the owner led the session that was instructed by Paula who is a card carrying Tuscan Nonna. We made bruschetta, gnocchi along with a very delicious Brunello braised beef stew and many other delicacies.

My fiancée and I picked the menu and participated in the cooking of everything at Leslie’s home in rural Tuscany not far from Montalcino. We walks away with a recipe book, quenched appetites and a lot of great memories. I would definitely do that again and recommend others to try it also.

Wonderful experience, excellent food and great company

Booked the cooking lesson with lunch for my birthday while we were in the area and I couldn’t have wished for better way to spend my birthday.

The course is taught by a British woman – Lesley – who has been living in Tuscany for the last decade, with help from a a Tuscan woman – Paula – who, although not being able to speak any English quite happily talks away (an added benefit of some language practice while you’re cooking).

We cooked la Riboleta (tuscan bean soup), tricolore gnocchi, filetto incrosta, caprese salad and tiramisu. The course was very much hands on and the course leaders only stepped in to demonstrate a technique or help if we were struggling with a particular step.

Lesley and Paula were both lovely and the meal was delicious. It was accompanied by some great local wines and great conversation. We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend to anyone that enjoys cooking or eating.
